ROME 02 OCTOBER 2017On 2 October 2017, Ranchi men in Rome studying in Pontifical Gregorian University started their regular classes. The new Academic Year was inaugurated with the solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle presided over by R.P. Rector of the University.

Ravi Hemant and Edwin Ritesh have moved to third and final year of their theological studies. It is also the fourth and final year for Edwin Dang before he completes his psychological studies in the Institute of Psychology of Gregorian University. Kulwant Minj has started the first year of his Licentiate in Canon Law along with Vinay Kr. Ekka of Madhya Pradesh Province. With the start of yet another academic year, Biju Sebastian (DUM) hopes to delve deeper into his doctoral research in Biblical Theology.

Apart from the Jesuit students, one of our own St. Anne’s Sisters of Ranchi, Sr. Anupa Mariam Kujur has added a new chapter to the history of her Congregation by joining Pontifical Lateran University to pursue her doctoral studies in Canon Law. Sr. Cordula Bara, DSA, has started the second year of her philosophical studies in Gregorian University.

To enthuse our students, Anselm, Sanjay and Linus rightly planned to go for an outing before the beginning of the Academic Year – a day of being together and sharing of our joys, hopes and aspirations!
