Br Anjelus Xess breathed his last this evening

Ranchi:With deep sense of sorrow, it is announced that Br Anjelus Xess, SJ (88/62) expired today (June 2, 2019) in the evening around 5.55pm in Mandar Hospital.

As notified earlier two days ago by Fr Socius, he had several serious health complications and doctors had almost given up and he was then there in Mandar Hospital for nursing care. His body is brought to Manresa House, Ranchi.

Fr Ajay Soreng has just informed that His requiem Holy Mass and funeral services will take place at 10.00am tomorrow Monday June 3, 2019 at ATC, Namkum.

Br Anjelus Xess hailed from Rengarih Simdega. He was born on April 12, 1931 in Galesera village of Rengarih Parish now in Simdega Diocese. He joined the Society of Jesus on February 1, 1957 in the Novitiate of St Stanislaus College Sitagarha. He pronounced his first profession in SSC Sitagarha on February 2, 1959 and his final profession in ATC, Namkum on February 2, 1972.

In his 62 years of Jesuit life, Br Anjelus has given his valuable service in various capacities in different places, mostly in SSC, Sitagarha, St. Ignatius H/S Gumla and ATC, Namkum. He was Hostel Warden in Muri from 1990-1994.

May his soul rest in peace eternally in Godís kingdom and may his simple and humble life and work inspire us all!
