Ranchi: The youth convention of Khunti Diocese was held at Sarwada Parish. More than 900 youth were present. It was great to witness such a large gathering of energetic and spirit-filled youth.

The entrepreneur team was invited to present a session to introduce the youth to entrepreneurship. Mr Niranjan Tigga, our team member and myself conducted the session. Mr Tigga resigned his high profile job in the Reserve Bank of India to start a business. he enriched the crowd with his experience-based insights. He enlightened the youth on how to go about starting a small business venture and what attitude and disposition one must have as a basic requirement to become an entrepreneur.

Given the economy and diminishing scope of job opportunity in our country, there is a dire need to develop entrepreneurs. Counting on our immense resources, we need to think creatively launch out into this new field. Thus spoke the second speaker of the session.

There were numerous queries and questions from the youth. The organizers plan to have a full-fledged workshop as a follow-up.

We intend to conduct such workshops in different districts to orient our youth undertaking business.
