Final Profession of Fr. Rozario Mosahari, SJ.
The Final Profession ( Vows) of Fr. Rozario Mosahari,SJ was solemnly celebrated on 16th July 2026 at St John De Britto Parish , Balipara. It was a deeply prayerful, spiritual, and moving occasion, marking a significant moment in Fr Rozario’s journey of consecration and commitment to the Society of Jesus. The theme “Here I am to do Your Will” , beautifully expressed the spirit of the celebration – a willing and wholehearted response to God’s call.
The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr Ajit Kumar Xess, SJ who was the main celebrant and received the Final Vows of Fr. Rozario Mosahari,SJ . The ceremony was enriched by the presence of many fellow Jesuits, diocesan priests and religious sisters of the Diocese of Tezpur , family members , specially invited guests friends, and well wishers. Around 250 people participated in the celebration and shared in the joy of this important milestone.
The words “ Here I am to do Your Will” invited everyone to reflect on the meaning of vocation. Final profession is not simply the completion of a period of formation; it is deeper surrender of one’s whole life to God. Fr Rozario’s commitment to poverty, chastity , obedience , and the special Jesuit Vow of availability is a response to God’s invitation to serve wherever he is sent. His “Here I am “ is therefore a prayer of availability , trust , and love”.
The celebration reminded everyone that a vocation is sustained by God’s grace and supported by family , companions, communities , and the Church. The presence of so many people made the occasion especially meaningful and reflected the many relationships that have accompanied Fr Rozario throughout his journey. The ceremony was truly moving, joyful, and filed with gratitude.
A short and lovely felicitation programme was held after the Holy Mass , expressing the affection , appreciation , and good wishes of the community. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch for all the participents , creating a warm atmosphere of fellowship and celebration.
Special appreciation and gratitude to Fr Ajit Kumar Xess Sj Provincial Ranchi Jesuit Province, Fr Thomas Barla sj, the Delegate to the Provincial in Assam, Fr Brice Billung Sj and all the Assam Mission Jesuits and other invitees.
Dozens of thanks very specially to Fr John Berchmans Dung Dung Sj, Superior of the Balipara Jesuit Community; Fr Ignatius Minj SJ Parish Priest of Balipara Parish, Fr Roshan Bage SJ ; deacon James Ekka SJ , Sch Ujjal Kerketta sj for their generous service , careful preparation, and logistical arrangements that contributed greately to the smooth and beautiful celebration.
The Final Profession of Fr Rozario Mosahari , SJ will remain a cherished memory for all who participated. It was a celebration of faith ,vocation, surrender, family , friendship, and mission. Above all , the theme “ Here I am to do Your Will” continues to express the heart of his Jesuit vocation: to listen to God, surrender generously, and serve wherever God calls.
May Fr Rozario Mosahari SJ continue to live his vows with joy, fidelity, humility , and courage , always seeking the Greater glory God—AMDG – and offering his life generously for the service of the Church and humanity.
