Legal classes become a part of marriage classes

With the passage of time and emerging fast societal changes, there is a need that the would-be married couples in the Church should be made aware of some basic family-related laws. Hence in view of it, Fr. Anupchand Minj from Hoffmann Legal Cell, Khunti has been helping many parishes.

On April 28, 2022, he addressed the second group of sixteen pairs of the would-be couples in the Khunti Parish. While addressing them, Fr. Anup advised the would-be wives not change their surnames any documents with the husband’s surname. He shared his observations how it creates many problems later. He made them aware of the requirements steps and requirements necessary for any court marriage. Cautioning them not to misunderstand and asking them to take divorce issue in perspectives, he made understand in only in what conditions one should go for it.

He requested them to some social responsibilities towards society, especially unmarried youngsters and land which has reduced to a mere commodity.
